Hi all,
I took this off my new 27 tudor. I haven't seen any example of the upper housing anywhere. Does anyone know what it's from or what it does? I'm guessing it's a stoplight, but again, I've not seen any other examples. It has a bracket that holds it on to the tea cup clear glass light. Thanks in advance.

What does the inside of a 27 gas tank look like? All I can see is some kind of separating wall between the two halves of the gas tank that prevented from splashing back and forth as much.

The otherwise nice '27 Coupe that I'm working on for a family having an estate sale has a d**m Holley vaporizer carb still on it. I've done everything else I can to get it to run and when I removed the carb I found the vaporizer plate behind it had a hole burned in it. I tried making one but it didn't work. 12/17 i ordered a new fan belt from Bratton's and it came 12/20!! Two sizes listed on the belt were B-41 or 5L 440. Bud. :D

What is the difference between a Model A and a Model T engine blocs? And how would you get coolant leaking into the cylinders?

I was going to adjust the three clutch screws in the transmission. I jacked up the left rear wheel and placed the tranny in neutral. With the transmission in neutral the rear wheel will not turn. The parking brake is definitely not set. It doesn't make any difference what position the lever is in the wheel won't turn. Should it?

I need to clean out the fuel tank in my 1924 Tudor. This is the square one under the drivers seat. I plan to remove the tank to clean it properly.

Do I just need to unbolt the seat and the tank comes out or is there something else?

Several of us have benefited from Tom’s radiator work in Kansas. Tom is an incredible talent, and as it turned out, saved many early Ford radiators.

When we first met, Tom took a Model K and N radiator on that two shops in Omaha said were beyond repair. A good friend in KS told me to check with Tom before commissioning a new radiator....

I found my old thread on fuel flow.
In a nut shell. 1 minute to fill 3/4 of a pint.
I removed everything except the fuel pump.

I just filled a 2.5 gallon gas can.
It took 35 minutes.
2.5 gallons * 4 = 10 quarts
10 quarts / .75 = 13.3 (3/4 quarts)
35 minutes / 13.3 quarts = 2.6 minutes to fill 3/4 quarts.

I hooked up a MAG horn 2 my 26 Model T. I connected the horn's body to ground and the terminal to a switch and then to the Magneto. When I ran the car on a MAG and turned on the horn, the engine died. What am I doing wrong? Is the horn taking too much of the Magneto power?

Ok so I’ve decided to run a model a manifold setup and carb on my TT. The manifold kit is on its way and I have a Model A Marvel carb ready to rebuild. My block is the later 27 with no hole between cylinders 2 and 3. I would like to set it up to run the throttle off of the column rod so I’m just wondering what others have done to rig something up....

A saw a posting recently that stated the US '15 open Ford Ts never came with forked headlights.

There is a factory picture of one in one of the reference books ((McAuley's?). One with forked lights that is currently being looked for along with its stolen trailer.

I found this odd coil. I’m not an expert but thought I would post some pics and hopefully someone can tell me about this coil. The core is made of flat pieces of steel instead of the usual wire core. The capacitor is tubular and is set at an angle. Any ideas?

I have an early engine that does not have mounts for either a starter or a generator. Its number is 116844 but I cant find a date to go along with it. Does anyone know of a way i can find the date? I have been searching through the Ford Model T Encyclopedia with no luck.

So I lost the coil box lid somewhere in the last move and what with Covid and the cost of shipping (especially from US to Canada) I decided I might as well build one. While waiting to get my engine and transmission back from Lillikers I was wondering what kind of oil and how much does a Chicago transmission take?

During the rebuild of a few early and later magneto coil ring rebuilds I found out that the center of the coils on the older coils is about 1/2 earlier than on the late coils.
Just wondering why this difference?

As I was changing the oil, brass pieces fell out of the drain.
After calling an mechanic, it turns out I had a loose triple gear. Pulled the engine out, to find and fix the damages.
However it seems all 3 of the triple bushing failed in a similar fashion

What is the original shaft diameter of the crank at the pulley? I understand that there were 2 sizes of cranks.

Are the top ribs supposed to be curved top and bottom or just the top side on a 26 coupe? My top wood kit has them curved top and bottom side.Seems to me that is going be a pain to get the headliner in. thanks

This Bruce Greene print was discussed on the forum 7 or 8 years ago. I'm surprised to see 3 of them for sale now. None of them are mine.

When removing the magneto ring from the engine, I noticed the oil funnel wanting to twist along with the hold down bolt. I am pretty sure it will try and do the same thing upon installation. Is there a way to prevent the twisting? 23 T..Thanks..Tommy

I'm about to pull the engine on my 1915 Center Door, do I need to remove the fire-wall/hood former in order to get it out? If I remove the reverse and brake pedals and lay the clutch down, will I be able to pull it out with out removing the fire wall?
