If you find a used set of “newer valves “ most likely they will need to be ground. IE the faces ground on a valve machine. Do you have one?

Also you will need to grind the seats too. Just giving you a heads up.

i can get them on but would need a wrench to get them up the spindle.
i cant get them to run up by hand.

Having to use a wrench is okay, as long as you don't need any extreme force to do it.

NH's float setting has a starting setting per the T1 manual.

I believe the standard drive ratio is 2.5 : 1, using a smaller gear than that shown. The speedometer book will sort this out for you.

Photo is a '12 front fender and rivets to bracket appear to be a low round type, measure about 15/32 in dia.

The Truss head in Restoration Supply wouldn't seem appropriate, may have a pointed crown.

The rivets supplied by Lang's for their brackets are likely correct. Their correct bucking bar for the rivet head will keep the head looking factory...

Yes I believe that He may have been the first for Kevlar. I bought a few sets from him. I also bought that original 13T touring from him. What a loss for everyone on his passing!

John, my tailpipe does point straight down, but the end is bent and the pipe cut off so that the opening is in the back of the pipe. This deflects the flow to the rear. I have never had any complaints about huge dust clouds, but then I am not usually in a hurry to stay in front of everybody.

Hi Tim, I have one each of the round and rectangular TW Timers, and have enough of both kinds of the brushes now. It's interesting that Jerry Kramer will clean up the interior contacts of the outer timer shell since when there is wear and rough spots on those surfaces, they can eat up the carbon brush pretty quick.

Using a 12 volt battery to achieve 5 to 6 cranking volts with a worn out 6 volt starter and junky cables is not a good practice.

Wayne, the engine I found for my 1912 chocolate van is B 5xx The date stamped into the transmission shaft was 9 26 12. As far as I know the C prefix to Canadian engines did not start until May 1913 when the plant was fired up, so a C numbered block would be from a 1913 model car.

Thank you for the suggestions to attach to the dash light, it is a great way to attach and disconnect as the light is needed. Our light does not move off of the mounting and will tilt or swivel only. Your light is more versatile than ours.

Scary stuff, drill the holes, do away with the wire and turn either the rods or the pistons as one or the other is in backwards, ie, the wrist pin lock bolt faces the camshaft and the split skirt faces away from the cam.

Tight pistons will gall, depositing aluminum in the bores. There is a maybe on breaking them in.

Bill Rader (Vintage Authentic Reproductions) sold these many years ago as an accessory adjustable clamp to tighten up a loose ball joint/4th main fit. It replaced the stamped driveshaft housing flange.

The compression differences in the early heads are minimal. 4-1 vs 3.9-1.
I currently run the new brass tops in a milled head with hi dome pistons. 95# compression. (6-1)
Previous was stock head & compression. Both ways ran fine.

I have caller ID on my home phone and would get calls that were spoofed to look like a neighbor. I did not answer if there was no recognizable name listed. Then a strange thing happened. One day, I received a call and caller ID showed my name! I assure you that I did not call myself. I kind of wanted to answer just for fun but chickened out.

Adding 2 diameter will raise the vehicle about 1 and allow a little higher road speed, maybe 5%. Most trucks sit higher at the back unless loaded. On dual rear wheels, clearance between tires may be an issue with oversize tires.

I love it! any idea on the year? closed cars are my favorite; I will put that on the car bucket list.
