I've sent a few PMs, The few I sent a few weeks ago show in Sent but none of the recent ones. All the Pm's say sent successfully . No problems otherwise

One of the things I have enjoyed with the old forum is the ability to do a MTFCA Google search for a subject and find old posts that already answer my question. Anyone know if that Google search will find responses in the current new forum?

Some members are linking to HUGE signature photos. And unlike the Avatar photos, there doesn't seem to be any size or pixel limit to these. So the huge photos appear inline, over and over, in threads where they post.

I know one solution is to turn off viewing signatures in my preferences, but some members put their names, or business links in the...

Hi, I'd like to see many topics not a bunch of small pages of topics. How can I set my view so that it shows say 200 Topic entries like the old forum did?

We know about the issues. I’ve been on the phone with our hosting provider tech support for several hours today.

Together we made some substantial changes to the software to try and eliminate the problems we’ve been having. I think we made progress. Only time will tell.

I can not post replies on all the forums and do not know why. I am a member of the MTFCA. I can do the classifieds parts but not the classifieds cars. Why is that?

A number of times today, I have been reading posts on the forum and when I try to refresh or return to the discussion forum, I get the message: Sorry but the board is temporarily unavailable, please try again in a few minutes. After (indeed) a few minutes, it's back to normal until the next time it happens. Maybe 8-10 times so far.

I can't seem to get my 64 bit iMac Mojave to login or send administrator emails even if I delete cookies?

Is it me or are the classifieds missing?

After reading all the fine print, there appears to be no way to transfer an image directly from my computer to this 2019 Forum.

I went to the BBC website for more details and I found no direct image post plan there.

Am I missing something?

I like the Mark Topics Read feature, but is there a way to limit its action to only the currently viewed page?

This morning the new threads extended onto a second page. I went to page two, read one or two threads, then clicked on Mark Topics Read .

When I went to page one, all of its topics were also marked read, which isn't what I had intended....

Seems that I can login here at my work computer ... but not at home on my iphone or ipad. Any ideas?

On the Old forum we we're able to catch up on a week's activity with just one click is that an option that's being considered

After reading a posting, then using the back to forum link this takes me to the top of the page and must scroll down to the next posting. If I use the arrow back it takes me to the posting last read but does not indicate it was read. Is this normal?

Twice in the past 2 days I have gotten up to get refreshments after reading a long thread, when I got back the Forum was logged out and I had to log back on. Is there an idle timer that logs you out after a certain amount of time? :roll:

Just testing out the forum. I switched over from the old forum last week. I really like the way it is set up although I can't get my old avatar photo shrunk down enough to use. I used Microsoft paint, but I can't quit get it to work.

Now that we have this great new Forum, it seems like an opportune time to share vids of our cars, restorations and adventures. What do you think? My vids are far from perfect in every sense, but I'll add these two of when i first acquired it , and a little work done after.

What happened to the ‘Post Reply’ button on the Classified - Vehicles page ?

Why do some pictures get labled with ATTACHMENT with dotted lines around them?

So is there a reason photos posted here show up small and need to be clicked on to view full size??? Royce's Model T Ford Fix web site uses the same software platform as this site and the photos you post over there show up full size from the get go without having to click on them to view full size. Is it a Admin. function or am I missing some...

I am testing my ability to use the system. New password did not take and Chris gave me a new one which I changed per instructions.

This morning I sent 2 PM's to a friend, as a test. Requested he reply if my efforts were successful. The reply never came. Tonight I called him to check status and he never received the PM.

So, I checked my profile, and heck, my 2 msgs are in my OUTBOX.. What did I do wrong so it cam be corrected?

Is there a way to edit post that you make? I've looked around and can't find a way. I'm a moderator on a motorcycle forum and posters can edit their threads and as moderator I can do quite a bit with them.

edit. Just found that by going to user control panel you can edit your post by clicking on the pencil. And you can edit just after posting....

Posting photos is easy. Profile listing is good. So, far I am enjoying the new forum. I check the forum four or five times each day. Thank you to all who post interesting and useful posts.

I have tried till i am blue in the face and cant get file smaller than 100X75 which wont cut it. This is much worse than the old forum for posting pictures and I thought it was bad. Perhaps Chris can post detailed instructions on how to do it in different formats. Been better if profiles could have been transfered to new forum. :oops:

First post in the new forum. I am getting along slowly but surely with navigating here. I historically have only used maybe 5 to 10% of any sites functions at sights I visit as I do not seem to need the all the bells and whistles. Maybe that's why I do not see the need for a smart phone.

Bad timing, and I do not believe it has anything to do with this new forum setting up. But when I checked my email this evening, there was some suspicious activity. I do not know, but it is possible my email may have been hacked. With a few emails from forum friends about this new site, it would be possible for a hacker to get a few addresses in...

I like the new forum, registered last night, up and running. No problems. I think the separate for sale of parts and cars is perfect. Jays idea of a picture thread is also a good idea. This format is like many others used on the net. Just takes a little re-education. Good work guys !

Now that we have automatic resizing you should post the full size picture file. There's no sense in having a little photo surrounded by a sea of black.

It is interesting to see all the questions and to learn about the new ways to do things.

If we all had a teen to help us it would be easy but some of us old guys hate change and may have a hard time.

OK. Windows 10 users. Go to the Microsoft store. Look for free picture resizer apps. I down loaded Image resizer. First one listed. There is a number of free ones. It'll show up when you click the MS square on the bottom left of your screen after downloading. I shrunk the image to 73 vertical (only gives the one measurement)and saved. When saving...

I want to change my USER NAME, which is currently 6volt . I cannot find a way to edit it. Another way is to DELETE the user, and re-register- but no way to do that either. Any ideas?

I'm going to try to upload a photo that was too large to post on the other forum just to see if it will post here.

It is a photo of me escorting the Colonel and First Sargent to review the troops at their retirement after 30 years service. No military vehicles were available so I offered my services to them.

I really like the fact, esp in the ads, that you can see how many replies and views a posting has had. Also like being able to see who the poster is and who posted last .
