The first picture reminded me of the Ed and Ollie Special. Ed (right) started building it when he was Ollie's age. Ollie (left) finished it about 1988.

It's not often that the steering wheel is bigger than the tires, what a great story it gives me hope for some of my projects.

You can see how Ed patterned his steering after a model T. Quite ingenious for a 7 or 8 year old. He went on to be a talented mechanical engineer and supervised an engineering group before retiring. He had a nice '27 T pickup too.
