Who is a good supplier for early Ford V-8 parts?

Myself I had my 41 panel and my 41 tonner redone by a local mom and pop place. The did a fine job of recreating the original systems.

I'd certainly ask around about the fit of the exhaust and who has what. Going in-and-out of the frame like they do, if the pipe of off the least little bit it is a much easier job to do on a lift with somebody that has a bender so you can tweak it.

As it turned out Mac's was the only one with the exhaust parts. I was hesitant from comments about them form forum members in the past but ordered 4 items. FedEx tracking has them delivered this Wednesday. After looking at the remains of my old pipes I see I can use the complicated piece that goes to the muffler and all the clamps. I only had to order the crossover for now. I'll wait until it runs before getting the muffler and tailpipe. I had planned to buy the whole system that I saw for sale several years ago but "Mr. Cheap" got the better of me.
I appreciate the several links Mar posted. I have old catalogs from all but one of the others. I wasn't sure if they were still in business and/or popular. I have a 1984 Obsolete Ford Parts catalog too. Looking at their on-line catalog I wasn't sure if they were still active or dependable. They have a great selection.

At this point I have 4 starters apart trying to get enough out to build a good one. My goal is to hear it run this summer or Fall. That will determine how much else I feel like doing. As with the Model T's, I just have too many parts. Mostly junk I can't sell but some of it can be made to work.

I am happy to report that the parts that I ordered came on time and the crossover pipe fit in pretty well. Apparently Eckler's has acquired Mac's now. The only surprise was that the bolting flange was about a 3/16ths larger all around than the original. It's not a problem as I could have trimmed it to size or replaced it with an old original. The manifold gaskets were in a package marked Dennis Carpenter. I have since ordered some parts from him. They also said Made in China.

They had cushioned it in it's box with several yards of brown wrapping paper. I have used the white newsprint that my T vendors pack stuff in as bench or table covering for greasy parts or to protect cleaned or painted parts. I like the brown paper Eckler's used better. It is tougher and doesn't tear as easily. I straightened it out and rolled it up for future used. No sense in throwing it out until I get it dirty. Maybe not worth mentioning but I guess I already did.

I will still support the white paper folks for Model T parts. The white paper is 30" wide and the brown is 18".
