Old photos of a cusomized 1934 Airflow

Post by Mark Nunn » Tue Nov 03, 2020 2:00 pm

The Renze Company is a few blocks from where I work. Back in 1934, they did this. Why? I don't know. There are crowns on the hubcaps. I suspect that this was made for the Knights of Aksarben.

How do you access the engine? Every Airflow I have seen has had the windshield behind the hood and the hood open from the top.

In the second photo you can see two knobs in the lower corners of the windshield and what looks like a seam, what makes it seem like the whole windscreen opens upward, but still would be a *itch to change the plugs ,
Maybe it was custom built for the actor that played Pinochio...
When in trouble, do not fear, blame the second engineer ! 8-)

These poor things struggled to not be fugly, as it was. This extra work definitiely
tilts the argument away from winning any beauty pageant awards.
More people are doing it today than ever before !
