It's a Velie.
Appears to be a dealer license plate.

Re: Hudson Super 6
Those were great cars. I think Hudson was the first maker to add counterweights to production crankshafts. That put them way ahead of most other makes.

Hudson made some very good looking cars in their early days.
More people are doing it today than ever before !

Erik, we ain't listening !
Thanks for the correction. I plead ignorance, the photo was labeled a Hudson, and the radiator badge is similar. Thanks also for noting the dealer plate !

Re: Hudson Super 6
In keeping with the current theme of "No , that's not right" this is a 1921 Idaho dealer plate.
Thanks
Rich
The dealer Number was just painted on, not embossed. 1920 plates were a very dark blue with white letters. Standard plates said IDA over 1920 like the plate in the photo. I don't think a dealer plate is what we are seeing as it was likely similar to '21. 1918 Idaho dealers plates were embossed and look like this:
I have been corrected many times too. Thanks
Rich
When did I do that?

Re: Hudson Super 6
The plate in the photos does have a "D" on it so I presumed it is a dealer but I don't know anything about Idaho plates.
I'm knowledgeable about Minnesota license plates via osmosis as my father has been collecting early Minnesota plates for 70 years.

A Velie? No problem; I'll take it anyway!
