I have been working on a couple of rolls of emery cloth (1 1/2" wide) for as long as I can remember. Now I have run out, so I thought I'd just sit down to my handy dandy computer and order a couple of rolls.
Sticker Shock !
My two prior rolls still have their price stickers. $1.59 per box. Now what I'm seeing is no-name brand stuff for anywhere from $10 to $15 dollars per roll.
Does anyone out there buy enough of this stuff to have a good source at a reasonable price ? Accepting the fact that I'm going to pay 10X as much, I'd like to get a recommendation for good quality.
Thank you,
Dick

"Your local plumbing supply store, the one the license plumber guys use, should have just what your looking for." .... And they probably accept cash in payment and have a counter person who is capable of making change. If you're lucky, they will have a person or two on staff who answer telephone calls and are familiar with every item and service the business offers.

Thanks, guys. I forgot about Mr. Google. Just wish their search function would respond more accurately with what I specified. Lots of miscellaneous similar stuff to wade through.
Yes, prices have gone up over the years. About 40 years ago one of my older friends had been doing a lot of belly-aching about how prices kept going up. One day he got a big smile on his face and fished a quarter out of his pocket. "I think I've got it. This is a nickle. I used to think it was a quarter, but I was wrong. It's just a nickle."
