Where have all the tires gone ?!?

Post by Rich Bingham » Fri Nov 19, 2021 11:02 am

Seems our Model T habit is experiencing a "tire famine" lately. First it was white tires turning brown, then poor service and wearability from the newer offerings, options have dried up, and the Blockleys, touted as our last best hope, have gone AWOL. Don't you wish you could get a set of "puncture-proof" tires ?? I mean, who among us doesn't want happy inner tubes with broad, cheerful smiles ??

J. Ellwood has a bit of an Alfred E. Newman look doesn't he? I wonder how well they sold. Those would certainly be higher priced and many of us miss out on the benefits by trying to save money.
When did I do that?

Those were no good! Back around 1940 my dad had a 1936 Ford with, "puncture proof" tires and he had a flat tire!
