Is this possibly a Model A taillight lens? It was in a box of Model A and Model T parts. It doesn't have the recess for the metal cover. I know someone knows exactly what this is. Thanks.

Re: Model A Taillight lens?
Likely 1932 Ford tail light lens, also Ford truck1928-1941.
Model As had a bar across between the taillight and stop light sections.

When did I do that?

Snyder's has a glass lens that is the same shape Model A 28-31. Is it made of glass or plastic? Also any markings on it? Size?
My guess its a repro since it has reflector prisms in the back side.

The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.

Thanks,
It is made of glass. It came with parts from an old Ford dealer from the 20s-30s. There are a bunch of words on the back of the lens around the rim. My old eyes are too bad to read them. It has DUO Lamp on the front top and STIMSONITE at the bottom.

Duo Lamp is a Ford lense, the Stimsonite is the manufacturer. Yep, '32 to (I think) '34.

Re: Model A Taillight lens?
The ones I remember had the lower part for the stop light in amber. Reproductions had both sides red. I am not sure whether all years of Model A had the amber.

Re: Model A Taillight lens?
The tea cup lights used from 1929 to 1931 "could have" the amber/red split. That split was not used after the Model A. I do not know for sure, but I don't think all states allowed the red/amber split, so some Model As of that era could have had full red lens. In my OP, using amber for stop lights is up there with green stop light lens.
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!
