My Rant : I hate feedback.

Post by BE_ZERO_BE » Sat Jan 22, 2022 6:03 pm

It seems like almost everywhere we do any kind of business; they want "Feedback".
Buy online - They want to know "How was your experience with us?"
Go to the Doctor's office - They want to know "How was your experience with us?"
Get your oil changed - They want to know "How was your experience with us?"
Go online to a web site looking for something and there is a popup asking you to take a survey when you are finished.
Persistant emails asking for your "input".

On & On & On ...

Aaarrrrgggg !!!

I have encountered feedback surveys that had 37 questions and 4 narratives.
What a waste of time.

With very rare exception, I ignore all satisfaction surveys and feedback requests.

I do use feedback on eBay because it is bi-directional between buyer and seller - fair enough.

Enough with this feedback stuff I say.

End of Rant - We now return to normal Bob :D

They don't want feedback - they want your personal information so that they can bombard you with marketing emails. :)

I would give you some feedback on your rant but I don't want to set you off again.

If you don't want to do feedback, just delete the posts and go about your business.

Or, make it a lot of fun, just tell a bunch of outrageous lies, some self-contradictory. Occasionally it helps to provide a viciously bad review, you might bet get your money back.

I find that the companies that NEED the feedback aren’t the ones who ask for it.

It feels nice to suddenly find out I am not alone in my frustrations with all this ,"How did we do?" "let us know how we can make things better". Like that section ebay you supposedly can clic "Tell us what you think" . Trust me, Nothing I told them has been done.Several times in the past I simply said, "go back to your records from 2001 and see how you did it and go back to that" Never a response.
All your personal info is used to their benefit and your "venting" goes right into the trash bin.
I bought a small media blasting cabinet from JEGS and I have been bombarded with emails since.
"Yes you had a nice little top load cabinet for a good price,I bought it I am happy, now leave me the bleep alone!"
If you can't help em, don't hinder em'

I disdain feedback also. What if I told the medical center and hospital close to me:
"You people suck and know virtually NOTHING about the human body.
I'd be glad IF you could recognize a broken arm IF I had one."
Golly. That actually felt good to type.
Since I lost my mind mind, I feel more liberated

At Wal-Mart or any other self-check outs, I aways give them just a " one-star " review rating, since I am such a bad checker.

Your time is valuable to us. That's why we let all our telephone ladies go and put in this useless and aggravating automated phone system. You may continue to hold while we bombard you with scratchy electronic "music" interspersed with more airhead chatter like this, or you may elect to go jump out of a high window. Your time is valuable to us. Please continue to hold while we continue to annoy you. If you ever succeed in reaching a live person, we assure you that that person will be completely ignorant concerning our products. Please continue to hold while we explore the limits of your patience. Your time is valuable to us, and isn't our scratchy electronic elevator Rap "music" wonderful? Please continue to hold for the next available ignoramus.

Bob,...when they ask for "feedback", I think they should always provide a "COMMENT" section on their request, so that you can request "FEEDBACK" on your feedback! :D

So, after ranting do you:
[] Feel better [] Feel about the same [] Feel worse [] Feel you're wasting your time?

Would you recommend this forum for Ranting?
