Listed on auction site Govdeals.com under automobiles classic/custom is a 1921 Mack truck. Not mine and no interest in it . Add says it runs. Nice looking truck if you need it!

Yes, that’s it! I don’t know anything about it, just saw the listing and thought there might be people on this site who might be interested or know someone who is.

That does seem odd. Maybe it's a "surplus" national park asset, or maybe it was siezed from a drug dealer.

Without the exemption paperwork, being as it is sold online, there will be sales tax due on top of buyer's premium. $7000 at ballpark 8% would add about $560 to the price.

I know back in the early 90's right before I got into the Model T's ,a chain drive Mack is what I wanted. My grandfather drove several of them, 1 being a semi tractor that was the 1 that got hit by the Crescent limited passenger train in 1940.
I found a couple ad's in trader books and cheapest I found was 3 parts trucks, enough to build 1 for 4000 dollars. In 1991 or so,that was still a good bit of money. 8000 for this running example is dirt cheap best I can tell. If I had money to spare and could haul it home,I would be bidding on it.
