But my legs ain't bowed,
And my cheeks ain't tanned,
'Cuz I ride the range in a Ford V-8,

Apparently he started the habit a few years prior to 1932 ?

Fred Fellows is a member of the prestigious Cowboy Artists of America organization and became president in 1997. This Giclee of a 1929 Model A with homemade horse trailer is a fine example of his work. Johnny, of course, would no doubt have been diving a Mercer.
Nice addition to the forum.
Thanks
Rich

Very convenient! If he breaks down, he can use the horse to pull our or to go for help. In those days there were no cell phones and if you broke down in a remote place it might take a long time to get help or walk for help.
