Is that the one that was discussed quite a bit on the AACA forum last year? I know it was sold. It was a very original car offered for sale after sitting largely untouched for half a century!
If it is the same one (there are not many like that!), it is nice to see it being worked on and brought back to be seen and enjoyed!

I am no expert but looks like the boat tail should have covered the back of the chassis a bit better?

Looks like something you may find Grandpa and Eddie riding in the rumble seat. Unique to say the least.

The rear frame is probably covered with sheet metal much like the front. Nice to see it survived.

Intriguing body. Looks rather ungainly in its current condition. I'm guessing the top and quarter window would have been a "soft top" ? Are there any images of such a model in its prime ? Would answer a lot of questions on "what's missing". Thanks for posting this !! Peerless is a rare bird !

Its cooler than regular cool. Very intuitive, almost over engineered layout and extremely high end construction. The tourist pics is all I’ve got for you guys for now though, sorry. Not acquainted with the current owner and didn’t really get permission to photograph it in the first place. Guess I’ll go by and ask a few questions and see if I can post more photos…

The "Not Mine" area in their forum is where people share advertisements of interesting cars they find for sale. That peerless had been advertised on Facebook as I recall.

" jeff_a " is the club expert on Peerless automobiles and keeper of the Peerless registry. He is quite knowledgeable and good people.

The boat-tail coupes were a short lived style in the mid to late 1920s. A fair number of automobile manufacturers offered the style, most notably Franklin, Essex (on the lower cost end of the market), and Peerless. However there were several others as well.
