24 ft trailer tiedowns

Post by Ned Protexter » Thu Jul 11, 2019 3:22 pm

We are looking at ordering a 24 foot trailer to haul 2 T's. I am wondering at what locations you would want the D-rings. I am thinking from front to back: up against the front wall, 10 foot from the front, 14 from the front, and the last set all the way at the back. This would be crossing under the car you are not tying down for the middle two.

At the moment, we aren't going to have e-track installed.

Ned

when I had my trailer built, I had them weld 2 plates along the length of the trailer floor and then tack E-Track to the plate. The wood floor goes up against it. That way, I have nearly infinite tie-down locations for one or two cars. I also put in some recessed permanent tie-downs IN the floor for some specialized use(s), but the E-Track is wonderful, relative to the trailer cost, was money very well spent.
