And... in another first, Thomas Edison, while on a train trip and stop over at an Indian settlement, was asked to have a look at some troubles that the tribe was having installing electric lights in the train station restroom. The problem was a simple one, Edison swapped over a few wires and system worked perfectly. In doing so, Edison became the first person in history to "wire a head for a reservation".

Your Edison story remind me of something. Some years ago, I had the occasion to meet and spend time with a member of the Osage Nation Congress who was visiting St. Louis. He said that he and his wife had Osage friends and the whole group would sometimes go out to dinner. He said that when the hostess asked if they had reservations, their answer was "Oh yes, we have reservations." They would also make the reservation under the name Warr. Then when the hostess called for "the Warr party," the Indians would all get up and head for the table.

On a similar theme, I'm not sure whom to credit, possibly Groucho Marx ?
Entering a ritzy restaurant and confronted by a snobbish maitre d' who asked if he had reservations, he replied, "Sure ! But we're so hungry we decided to throw caution to the winds !"

A man goes to the doctor and says, "Doc, whenever I try to sing a song, it comes out different. Today it was 'The Green, Green Grass Of Home.' Yesterday it was, 'Delilah.' Last week it was 'What's New Pussycat?' What's wrong with me?"
The Doctor says, "Sounds like Tom Jones Syndrome to me."
The man says, "Never heard of that. Is it common?"
Doc says, "It's not unusual"

To Really gum up the works put it on the computer and out source it to India
To make it completely unrecognizable in both form and function it must be controlled, regulated and implemented by the GOVERNMENT!

The Halloween Pictures posting on another thread reminded me of a true story. It was really funny when it happened, maybe it still is...
Several years ago, at church, it happened that the service fell on Halloween. When the priest concluded the Mass, he asked, "How many of you have some anxious ghosts and goblins at home?" A guy from the congregation, who was incredibly drunk by the way, yelled out, "I got one, she's a real witch!" The whole congregation exploded in laughter.
Happy Halloween!

By the way, people, I happen to like candy corn! Every year, my wife and I look forward to it coming back into the stores. As soon as it shows up, we buy a bunch of bags of it, and it is nearly always all gone (we both like it!) (seriously!) before Halloween! I would buy more again, but usually a week before Halloween, they are sold out. So others must also like it.
And Jerry VanO, I like Circus (marshmallow) Peanuts a lot also! They are one of my FAVORITE non-chocolate candies of all time!
But they are hard to find.
Okay. Maybe I AM crazy.

The last number I saw was about 700,000 certificated pilots in the U.S. I wonder how many can do both?

If any of us were to show the photo above to someone and ask, "Which one of these would be scarier to ride in?", what do you think their answer would be?
I guarantee most would say or point to the T!

I guarantee most would say or point to the T!
And IMO, they’d be right, especially if the T is running in modern traffic.
