RVShare talks says "In 1910, the very first motor home ever made was built from a 3-ton Packard truck. It could sleep 11 people and was 28 feet long and had an icebox, toilet, and salon, and was 6 and a half feet wide. The motor home was used up to 1924." That may be referring to this one Herb shared with us. I can't say whether or not it is a Packard chassis in the photo.

Here you'll find a short article about what is claimed to be 'the first built for leisure caravan' , it still exists today and was restored a couple years ago.
The workmanship and the interior are unbelievable ! ;
