Does anyone by chance know where I can locate/purchase a genuine electric wiper set up for 1929 Roadster or Touring? I know there are modern replacements but I have a true survivor car that I do not want to alter from original as much as possible. Mike

The ones I have seen are vacuum wipers with a hand lever for using when going uphill. I think the electric ones were aftermarket accessories.

Thanks Norm. Actually Model A’s could have electric wipers starting in 1929. Open cars like Roadsters had them and the wire was metal clad and ran up from the dash area up the left windshield stanchion. They were made by EA Laboratories. They were prone to internal issues associated with moisture and metals used inside.
