Does anyone have experience with towing an Oldsmobile Model N? Should the engine be kept running? Any precautions to take?

This is towing around 100 metres at low speed.

I don't have experience with an Olds. It might be easiest to unlink the chain if you have any doubts. Then again I don't know how easy that is.

I have to agree with you Bud for the most part, but it can be done. First of all use a nylon tow strap, not a chain. Second, the wife is in the tow vehicle and it is explained to her that you will be doing ALL the braking. Side roads, 25 to 30 mph. Spooky for her, but with some luck and detailed communications, possible.
