For those who also belong to the "other" club, the website is up for the 2020 Michigan Jamboree if you're interested. I'm co-chair if you have questions.

Thank you to you and your chapter for taking this on. Last year's Jamboree was my first tour with my car. It was a well organized event and I met some great people. Looking forward to this year!

Tim, thank you for doing this! I highly recommend attending a Michigan Jamboree. They are a great time

Hey Don Booth, we'll be passing right by your place on the way. Let's caravan.

The Thumb features some great Model T roads and with 90 miles of Lake Huron shoreline, has some spectacular scenery. We're working hard to insure everyone has a good time. August is usually beautiful in the Thumb and not as crowded as some other parts of Michigan.
FWIW - I heard from co-chairman Brian Dowell that half of the rooms at the Franklin Inn are already booked less than 24 hours after the website went live. We haven't checked the other two hotels but don't wait too long to book if you think you'd like to attend. The campground is holding 34 sites for us but only until April 15th.
Wayne - last year was my first Jamboree also... talk about jumping out of the frying pan into the fire! Fortunately we have a great crew putting this together. It also helps that the people in the Thumb (of which I am one) are really happy to have us visit.

In regards to the campground reservations, I had made a reservation online, first thing this morning. There were 16 sites available. I got a call this afternoon telling me that the spot I had chosen was not very level, and a better one was available. I recommend making the campground reservation by phone. See you all in August!

Ed,
I agree - phone it in. I explained our needs to the owners and they set aside 34 large sites for our group. The 16 they showed available are those not reserved for the Jamboree.
For others thinking about camping, remember, they've only agreed to hold the sites until April 15th and they are the only campground near town. The next nearest is 20 + miles away.
