1926 Dash board screws

Post by Mopar_man » Thu Feb 06, 2020 10:19 pm

Is the dash on a 26 Touring held on with flat head bolts and washers that the head of the bolt fits into? Same to hold the steering column?

Nickel plated oval head machine screws. Lang's sells them under "interior screw set". I can't find them locally.

We have an old style hardware store here in central Florida called Crowder Brothers that has them. Some Ace Hardware stores have them too, in separate steel boxes in the fastener aisle. Jim Patrick

On our Canadian products I believe there are no cup washers. The panel itself has a raised lip around the holes, and the screws sit in this lip. And, they are Robertson screws wuth the square hole drive.

You can get the screws at McMaster-Carr, Seems to me they are 1/4-20 oval head. Forget the length at the moment. Not real expensive.
