The (Crain & McCann vehicle is a Ford (Beaudet bodied) delivery car.
See the decal on the side?

In the third photo note the wider straight sided tyre and split rim combination. I can make out "xxxxx STATES TIRE xxxxx " on the sidewall. It looks like a 23" tyre, consistent with the date of the car.

When I worked at BF Goodrich we called it US Rubber and later turned into Uniroyal and was a close neighbor plant in Commerce, Ca. It's now the site of a shopping mall called the Citadel. Goodrich, Goodyear, Uniroyal and Firestone rubber tire plants are all gone now from LA. I believe the Gates rubber plant is still in business making belts? Sadly like other manufacturing.

Thanks for posting the super photos!

Fourth picture from the top looks like one of the Ford factory racers, Rob Heyen might recognise it, maybe even the driver.
When in trouble, do not fear, blame the second engineer ! 8-)
