Question on starter switch mounting

Post by namdc3 » Sun Feb 16, 2020 10:45 am

Is the mounting plate supposed to be on the top or the bottom surface of the upper rail edge on a fall of 1924 (1925 model) runabout? Shown here on bottom, which I think is correct.

Chose your poison. They've been found both ways, though the manual shows them mounted "under" the frame edge.

looking at where the pedal comes thru the lip on the front seat frame, looks a little on the short side now. I think I would move to top so your heel doesn't bottom out on the lip before the switch makes good contact inside.
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!
