I have run into two 1915 trans with brake drums that have the big bushings and the clutch disc drum does not press on and they both were running. Has anybody else run across this? Oh,and they are not worn . MEL.

Not sure what you mean by "won't go on." Do you mean that the drum won't fit over the main shaft, or that there is zero clearance between the drum and the bushing flange once it's pressed into place? Also, do you mean that "both cars were running" with exactly the same parts that you are now trying to install?

What I meant is the disc drum slides on the main shaft instead of presses on like the later ones with the three washers .MEL.

ALL clutch disc drums should be a slight interference fit onto the main shaft.
