The Gallery has some wonderful pictures of members' cars, but there aren't very many. Most of them were posted soon after the new forum went up last year. If you haven't posted a photo of your baby, why not make that a little project? With this software you can use a nice, big, high resolution picture and won't have to resize it unless it's unusually large.

This photo is 4.2 MB (3648 × 2736 pixels) and the forum software posts it easily.

Just posted my 1911 Mother-in-Law Roadster and Open Runabout.

I tried to add a picture and could not get it to post right side up. I tried to rotate it but it would not work. What am I doing wrong and how can I remove the picture that was added to the photo gallery. My '22 Centerdoor is getting tired of laying on it's side!

Good work fellows. The Gallery is a wonderful addition and sadly under used.

Val, I don't know why your picture is misbehaving, but you can fix it.


First, click on the file title above the thumbnail image.


That will take you here, where you have two choices. You can have the moderator delete the post (lower left) or you can click on the pencil (upper right).


Clicking on the editing pencil takes you here, where you can choose your rotation.

Thanks Steve. I deleted the old picture and got it right this time.

If anyone (like me) has trouble finding the Gallery, look up on the right by your user-name and presto! It's right there.
On the main page, click Photos.
Took me some time to find and I should include a pic... just to be me.

EDIT: The system does have quirks but works.
NOTE/TIP: If you'd like your photo/album titled up on top with what you think it should say, change the name of the photo in your archive.
Mine says 1000027 or some-such. Perhaps I try a re-do.

I keep getting server busy errors, can't determine size errors and so forth,I guess Nancy just keeps tearing up my homework.

ADDED SOME PRE T PICTURES THIS MORNING

A friend of mine sent me a Craigslist ad two autumns ago, knowing I am looking for a T.
I forwarded it to my 18 year old son and said, "Here. Buy this." He fell in love with speedsters at OCF a couple years ago, and has half heartedly been looking for a project.
I got home from work that night, forgetting about sending the link. At dinner, he said he'd spoken at length to the seller and wanted to go see it. So, the next day, we did. And he bought it!
In the ad, it showed the chassis and a firewall, with some homemade uprights to make a "TT" style cab. We opted to not get those, and to our surprise the seller started pulling sheetmetal out to put in the truck bed! Not mentioned in the ad, but given in the deal, was a roadster body in pieces, all the fenders, splash aprons and one running board! Not a bad haul for the kid, I'd say.
Last spring, on a whim while I was in Dearborn (I work for Ford but in Livonia) one day after work, I stopped by Greenfield Village just for a T ride. I was fortunate enough to get Tom, who owns a later (25, I think?) Coupe done up like a Detroit Police car. As we got to talking, we realized we have a common friend at Hemmings, and he revealed he was getting a new engine for his car. I asked about the old one, and he said it was ours if we wanted it, also for an extremely fair price. So, I told the boy, and they made a deal for when the engine swap was done.
So, we have about 70% of the parts we need to get the car driveable... if we can stay focused on it.
My clubmates in the Barnstormers VSC also took a liking to the kid for some reason, and they pooled their resources for a TROG drag rail A chassis powered by a 21 stud. We built that car in 67 days last summer, so the T was relegated to a pile in the corner of the garage. Hopefully, once I'm back in the 'States it will be warm enough to get going on the T again! The OP, Mr. Jelf, saw both projects in the garage when he stayed with us during OCF last fall. He even helped us decode the engine build date!
