Hi all, I just noticed that I have a slight bend in my front two-man top bow. I wonder whether to straighten it or leave it alone? If straighten it, how such as maybe put a pipe on the end and bend it back? -- IV

Ignatio, your bend is about where the cast section which mounts to the body, and the tube section which forms the socket, are joined. The tube must be sound. Otherwise, internal rust would have led to a break rather than a bend. However, I would tend to live with the bend rather than try to correct it.

I would leave as is. If those are older or original bows they are probably rusted on the inside but not really bad. The bend is not really noticeable unless you look at it closely.
