Re: Convert Kerosene lamp to electric.
Chris, I made mine using light sockets from 80's Japanese tail light assemblies. any later than that and the lights are all plastic. I bent some fencing wire for the ring and left a leg on one end to get the globe holder in the centre of the lamp. The metal socket was then soldered to the leg. I left the burner assembly in place, so had to feed the wiring through the lamp chimney.

Re: Convert Kerosene lamp to electric.
I made these some time ago, to convert my side lamps to blinkers with LEDs, took a block of i think nylon and made it the same height as the burner assembly, that way the tank holds it in place, the wires go out the slot where the fegulator knob normaly goes, you don't have to butcher a good sidelight and you can convert back to kerosene in about two seconds, only thing is you have to find a way to make the wires look inconspicuous (did i spell that right ??)
When in trouble, do not fear, blame the second engineer !

You just need one to convert the tail lamp ? I might have the one that used to be available some years back - still in the package - just need to locate it !
