What are yawl's thoughts on the new type head gasket with silicon and so forth?
I have always had decent luck with copper but I don't drive my T's 100's of miles either.
These things have been out long enough now I am sure someone should have a progress report on them.I have a new copper gasket that I have had for years for repairs if needed and then I found this,and remembered, "Hum,I saw those mentioned a while back

While most of the post in above link are a few years old, don't think much has changed.

alot to dig thru but enough that i will just stick to copper with spray on copper coat like I always use.Never to old to learn about the new "big" ideas though.

12 years ago I used a silicone one on a new Model A engine rebuild. They were just out and recommended for a high compression head. I had nothing but water leaks.
I went to a composition gasket an no more problems. Copper is equally good.
