Brake Rods

Does anyone know the difference between 17 to 25 T brake rods and 26,27 brake rods ? Thanks for any help.

'26 - '27 rods are straight - the earlier have a bend to clear the rear radius rod.

26-27 are shorter and straight
18-25 are longer and have a arch to clear the radius rod

Thank you. Now that I knew what to look for, I located a set of straight ones. They seem to be one inch shorter. Is that correct? It will make it a lot easier to adjust my rear brakes !

Yes the large brake drum '26-'27 rods are shorter and straight because the longer brake lever at the larger backing plate is farther forward than on the small drum ('25 and earlier) shorter lever backing plate.
