Looking for information on TT Rear spring bushings

Post by FATMAN » Fri Mar 13, 2020 10:29 am

Does anyone have the o.d. and I.d. dimensions on the rear spring and perch bushings for the TT truck, I think the spring one is split and the perch ones are not, 2 different O.D.'S thank you, Bob

Bob,

I don't know the answer to your question, but I think there's a dimension you've overlooked. I believe the early TT rear spring perch was narrower than the later ones and used spacers on each side. The perch bushings in these early units would be shorter than the later perches and bushings which were the same size as the spring without the spacers.

Anyhow, that's how I understand it.

If you measure both perches, the same bushing was used, the spacer takes up for the short perch, thank you, Bob

I would measure the shackle and measure the hole in the perch. I bet both of them will be a standard size, like 9/16 and 11/16 or 5/8 and 3/4, and the bushings would match. I hope somebody seeing this will have a bushing to measure.

Bob,
I'll see what I can scrounge up for you this afternoon. Heading out to the local T club work meeting.
