Ok i know there are a lot of opinions but I am looking for answers please
First of all I drive my model t's on tours, they are drivers not show cars

First question what is a good clincher tire for my 1919 that will last, experience and price and where to buy.

Does anybody rub one of the new 21 inch radials from coker and do you need a radial tube with these coker does not say.

I know this is kind of a what oil do you run question but I am looking for honest opinions.

You will not beat this deal anywhere. A good touring tire at a fair price, and always free shipping. If you have demountables and use 30x3 1/2 all around this is the bargain basement.

Scott i see for instance a wards clincher tire for 155.00 at Snyders what else you are saying is inline and thanks for your reply. Is the wards tire not a very good tire?

All high pressure clincher tires are made in Viet Nam - no matter the name brand. It's mostly a personal choice for tread design & cost.

A friend is running the new 21" radial & is very satisfied with the ride.

Well, I sure do stand corrected. It looks like Summit is about the best for Firestone with delivery, but even with delivery charges, the Wards is a lot cheaper and I can recommend them from a touring perspective. Wear is not as good as I'd like, but they will grip in the rain and give a decent ride. As far as wear, though, they all probably wear about the same.

To even consider a radial tire on a T and to avoid premature wear, one would need to bend crap out of the front axle, every thing needs to be zero, toe, camber and caster.

Has Coker run through another price increase? Like in the past, the Summit price is the same as the price listed on Coker's web site.

Until the new Blockley tyres are available, there are no T model clincher tyres which last an acceptable mileage. Some may last long enough for their purchase price the forgotten, but they will almost certainly be un-useanle due to sidewall cracking

Until the distributors upgrade their specifations for longer lasting harder wearing materials, your search will be futile.

When I have to buy new tyres, they will be Blockleys. I can see no reason to patronize the supploers/makers of the rubbish currently available.

I just made the mistake of buying a 21 inch tire from Langs.
It didn't show up on the original invoice which also had tube, flaps and front wheel seals on it.
The tire invoice showed up the next day with the tire and a $40 shipping charge?
It said dropped shipped which I think means that it probably came from the west cost.
No tracking? so I don't know when it will arrive.
It hasn't arrived yet so I won't know where it was shipped from until I see the box.
Should have used Summit. same tire from the same place probably with no shipping charge.
When I bought my 30x3 1/2 tires I use Summit and bought the tubes from Lucas which were much cheaper. Same tube lower price.

I originally tried to use Snyders as it is closer but couldn't resolve their
log in process (loop) so I went to Langs.

Steve J. - the 21" radial I referred to above was on a Ford wire wheel '26 P/U.

John - I've never had a tire arrived boxed - just wrapped in plastic sheeting.

you just did the community an enormous service with that information. That is one really great deal.

Performance Tire located on Cherry in Long Beach is a supporter of the Model Club. The Long Beach club has helped them out with their Thanksgiving charity event in recent years. I have purchased from them and also Lucas which is very close as well. The tubes from Lucas are the absolute best deal of the Year!! I've always used non Skids on the front of my '12 just because of the tread pattern and suffer the short wearability just for show.
