Its part of a gas inlet fitting. Its missing the hollow bolt that fits thru the two large holes and screws into the gas inlet of the carburetor.. There will be a gasket on each side of the part at the large holes to seal the hollow bolt. This part swivels to any position to make hooking up the gas line easier to hook up. Some model As and many accessory carbs used this style of fitting.

It is a Stromberg fuel inlet. It mounts to the bottom of many of the larger M and O series carburetors with a through bolt. Originally it would have a cone shaped fuel screen inside.

I would guess itโs the fuel inlet off a Winfield carburetor or similar.

It is not for a Winfield.
It is what is commonly called a banjo fitting for a Stromberg O, L or M series carburetor.

I'm well over 1000 Stromberg rebuilds, this fitting is part of the conversion to modern needle and seat that I make for Stromberg O, L, M series carburetors that do not use the later style inlet.
But whatever.....

It's a novel approach. No gaskets!
A spare Stromberg M-3 here.
Poop, can't post pics today I guess...
