I like Wayne's license plate thread as a "T" activity and got me thinking with all these vehicles out there what is unique, survived or rare you have found with your vehicle. Sort of a MTFCA automotive memorabilia web show.

After cleaning up and going over my fordor when I got it home I noticed the state inspection sticker mileage 90,809 matched the speedometer. Probably been that way for some time as no speedo or cable on the vehicle and stuck on 40 mph. I though the old 81-82 state inspection sticker lasting almost 40 years was neat.

When I bought our original, low mileage, 1922 coupe from a local estate a few years ago, I tried to find some history on it with no success. On the lower corner of the windshield is a Federal Vehicle tax stamp from 1942. When I was cleaning the inside of the windshield, the stamp fell off. I made an exact copy of the original tax stamp and put the copy back on the windshield. That's when I remembered that there was an old DAV miniature license plate on the coupe's key chain. The license number written on the back of the tax stamp matches the number on the key tag, 39086. So, they have both survived together for 78 years

The previous owner found the side curtains rolled up in these newspapers from July 15, 1964. Richard Nixon and Barry Goldwater were headed to the Republican Convention.

While I like this subject, the first entry jarred me into the realization that 1981 was 39 years ago. 39!!!! Yikes, when/ how did that happen?? Let's see, 1981; we were just settling in from a move from my hometown to Oroville for a "temporary" 6 month job that I held for 25 years. Uh oh, it's starting to dawn on me. . . .

Ah, but I do have one for this thread; unfortunately it wasn't in a Model T. Back in 1976 I was reupholstering my 1939, um. "Other Make" car (OK, it was a CH@@y) and found within the original upholstery a 1939 SF World's Fair key fob! That had to have been lost in there when the car was nearly new.
And Yes, I've been in old cars a loooong time, starting with my Model A when I was in 8th grade--and I still have that car, the one I had used the front fenders for a slide when I was a toddler.

Hey David time fly's bye, I graduated from H.S. in 82 ending up with head and eyes straight forward on the "yellow footprints" on Paris Island a few months later and growing up real quick like

I have a 77 F150 and a 39 Ford P/U seems the older I get so do the vehicles, I passed on the A and love these Model T's.

Kinda like David Dewey, my journey began, playing on a TT flatbed, that sat in quiet
repose in Mrs. Miller's barn, over the hill from our farm. I thought that truck was SO
cool ! Swore I'd get one some day. 50 years passed and it took a chopper crash, while
playing with the yellow footprint boys in AFG to jar me into quit putting off "dreams of
someday". When I came home after my last deployment, I hunted up a truck so identical
to Mrs. Miller's, I can't tell you it isn't the same truck. Been "living the dream" ever since.

My "barn" is a little more cozy and enclosed than Mrs. Miller's was ....

Hey there David D! You were at the '74 Queen Mary meet!? One of my longtime best friends had a model A ('29 Murray town sedan) and wanted someone to ride with him down and back. A few other close friends also wanted to go, but couldn't take that much time off work, so they flew down for a couple days of it, we went (in full era suits and hats) to pick them up at the airport. The timing fit between my college classes, and work wasn't an issue that month, so I chipped in on expenses and we drove down and back for the meet. That was my first time ever to Disneyland, and the only time I ever went on board the Queen Mary. I enjoyed the tour (in spite of the modern cars). We probably crossed paths a couple of times there? It was a BIG meet!

I don't have any really good stories of finds in or on any of the model Ts I have had. Most were too far gone when I got them to have anything like that. And two of them had been restored with nothing extra left from way before.
However, in the '29 Reo sports coupe I had way back when, I went to repair some issues in the original upholstery. Alongside the rumble seat cushion, carefully tacked into the matting material, was an uncirculated 1929 Indian/Buffalo nickel. Sold the Reo 45 years ago. Still have the nickel.

I bought my “1913” model T a year ago. I sent a picture of it to Erik Johnson who immediately identified the car as one his father Bob bought off a farm in July 1951 as a 19 yr. old enthusiast. Same car same driver 68 years later.

Wow that poor car in the B&W photo looks like it's on its last legs!!
But the color one looks more like a '14 body? Another "overlap" vehicle Jeff? My '25/26 Fordor is one of
those overlap cars. Pretty neat. Hope ur doing well over there!
