Van Dorn 2-speed axle for Ford TT
While looking through my Ford Owner and dealer magazines for more Gould ads I found these for the Van Dorn two speed axle for The Model TTs. This one is interesting in that their 2-speed unit fits inside the factory rear axle housings. This is another one that I've never heard of before and never seen. These were advertised from July of '26 until at least June of '27. Could be longer but the June issue is the latest that I have. They shrank that final ad down to a black and white, quarter page ad so I'm guessing they were running out of funds. It's hard to imagine that the company advertised for more that a year without producing any axles. So, same question as my Gould axle post. Has anyone ever seen one, owned one or know anything about them?

Yeah, Henry, that's one helluva claim. I hauled one yard of crushed rock in my TT dump truck once and that needed low pedal, low Ruckstell, and Warford underdrive to get rolling!

Brian,
Yes, Van Dorn did produce and sell their version of a two-speed TT rear axle. I have one in my parts collection.
