Hello,
Are there any model T owners in the Stuart, Florida area? I am new to the T world and could use some assistance please, once this virus clears up in the area.
Thank you,
Jeff

Jeff,
Welcome to the forum.
Try making contact with someone from the Suncoast T's.
Go to MTFCA home page => Chapters => FL
There are Three clubs in FLA.

Thank you for the reply. Those clubs are three (3) hours or longer in one direction from where I am located. I was really hoping to find a local mentor where I wouldn't have to load up the car and trailer it to ask questions and learn about specific items.

Jeff
sounds like you need to move!
Actually the Fun T's of Central FL have some east coast folks. Contact them and ask for info. Something or someone will turn up. Welcome to the affliction.

Those clubs are all located in big retirement locations. Some of us have to work to pay into social security...lol.

well, I get your point, but Dade City will be surprised to hear that they are a big retirement location (though admittedly it is really nice and probably growing).
as for working to support us old folks, you keep it right up. I will be dipping my beak very shortly and assure you your effort is greatly appreciated!
If I were you, I'd be contacting MTFCA and MTFCI and pleading your case to get a list of FL members and try to contact them. In the past, each organization has published membership rosters for a very small fee which listed all members who did not chose to "opt out" of publication. It's been awhile, but if the organizations cannot or will not work with you, that would be a major failing on their part, in my opinion.
best of luck finding a mentor...they are out there

Just an update:
I have received multiple replies both on and off the board and called each person and appreciate speaking to everyone. The exciting news for my son and I is, that we should be getting an education on the items we need assistance on in person, but we have to wait for this virus to clear. Thank you for all of the replies.
Sincerely,
Jeff Smith

Hi Brian,
I am new to this site and I found the PM section, but I don't have one from you. Can you send it again please? I would enjoy talking with other T owners.
Thank you,
Jeff

Just another update.
Model T Tom was kind enough to stop by and look at our car. Besides just having a general question and answer session, I had printed out the touring check list for car inspections and he went over the entire list with my son and I and now we have a better understanding of what we need to do to make the car tour ready. We need to change a few double nuts to the way they came from the factory with nuts/cotter pins and add a safety wire on a few bolts, and just a few more minor items and we should be good to go. He also suggested tightening the bands a little and a carburetor rebuild so we did that last night and WOW!!! what a difference that made. We are so excited to have the car running as well now as I remember it from when I grew up around it. Today is the best it has run since I purchased it so I had to call him and thank him again for his time and efforts. He gave me a few more suggestions and I will be ordering those items asap and will update those as soon as they get here. We are having fun and learning a lot right now, and we appreciate so much the time and effort we have received from Tom. I just thought I would share an update because this has been great for my son and I and we look forward to continue our learning experience and can't begin to show how much we appreciate the mentoring.

I met another person in Jensen Beach, across the river, that has a T and a few other cars. We will be going to visit his collection when it gets out of the 90's. I'm really surprised that there aren't that many model T's in this area.

LOL, when it gets out of the 90s, when will that be, October?
I used to live in Jupiter, FL in the 1980s/90s. I was into Mopars at the time and used to cruise my 1970 Dodge Charger up to Mrs. Murphy's donuts in Stuart every week. Later the weekly cruise night moved over to the Top Dog cafe.
