I know this company made lamps for motorcycles but there is a left and right
looks like cowl lamps, carbide lamps 128 is the number on the Powell & Hanmer P&H tag on the bill of the lamp. has anyone any idea on what they would fit

English made of course. While the P&H lamps were very popular on motorcycles, they made a wide range of good quality lamps for automobiles as well, even bicycles, boats and about anything else that would need one. Yours are made to fit what was known as a "light car." They were indeed mounted on the cowl, up near the windshield posts. Lamps were often supplied by dealers or owners themselves, using what they preferred, or perhaps saved from another vehicle. P&H was also a prolific supplier to car manufacturers and these gas lamps were actually in use well into the 20s. I have some British accessory catalogs that show them but will need to dig a bit over the weekend to find some advertising for them and perhaps post a photo. So, short answer, they are generic and may not have actually been supplied for a specific vehicle. Give us a little history on how and where you acquired them. My 1912 Triumph motorcycle uses a P&H headlamp, although it is nickle plated.
