ID this accessory?

Post by Grady Bruton » Sat Apr 04, 2020 8:28 pm

This bracket is mounted on the drivers side firewall of the wood cab on my TT. Has anyone seen this before or know what it may have held? This truck does have evidence of fire department markings on the hood. Could this have held some piece of firefighting equipment? Or maybe something commercial or farm related after fire service? The two pieces in the middle are adjustable up and down, maybe to hold two of whatever it was supposed to hold. No markings.

Thanks
(I apologize for the sideways picture)

Charley got it.

Looked up images on-line for a rack for smudge pots and that sure looks like one.

Ok, yeah that makes sense! One more mystery solved! Thank you!

Now onto the next mystery...

This is on the exhaust just before the muffler. Maybe an exhaust horn of some kind? I don't have the truck running yet so I can't test it out. Controlled by a foot switch in the floor. It has something written in cursive cast into the top but I can't quite make it out. Any ideas??
