Re: What's wrong with this photo?
Working with limited information based resources. Not everyone is on the computer or member of clubs and may have been working with pile of parts. There could have been some logic at time why they did it that way that we are not privy too. Not everyone has been around these old cars as long as some and may have never seen one of this vintage.

Re: What's wrong with this photo?
If that firewall bracket is on the wrong side of the firewall, how did he get the hood to fit right. The hoodformer should be much further from center since the hood is wider than the frame on each side and the firewall bracket should be In front of the firewall and be farther from the frame. I have been fighting with the hood for a week, even though everything is installed properly, after installing a new to me body, nothing wants to line up no matter how I shift or shim. The fun of (lol) playing with your model T while we have extra time due to too much Corona.

Re: What's wrong with this photo?
The brackets are on the correct side of the firewall, they just are turned around or swapped side for side. They would have been under the lip of the hood support and you would not have been able to see most of them, only the base mounted to the frame from the angle the photo was taken. The hood up to 1916 would travel in a straight line from the radiator back and would be the same width as the radiator at the rear. The rear would be the same as the front and would sit approx parallel to the inside edge of the frame.

Re: What's wrong with this photo?
those brackets are changed left to the right and right to the left. The distance for the hood rest as it should be.
