100 Year Anniversary of the Park to Park Highway Tour
Pardon me if this topic has already been discussed, but has the MTFCA or MTFCI discussed a 100 year anniversary trip retracing the 5600 mile Park to Park Highway tour of 1920? What an amazing tour that would be!! It started in Denver, went through 11 western states, to 12 national parks, took 76 days, ended back in Denver. Imagine that on the horrible roads they had back then!

I'd be up for it, but I don't think I drive fast enough to keep up.

Dean, Wow! How many miles did you drive on that trip and how long did it take you.
Steve, who wants to go fast on a trip like that. I would probably spend way too much time in each park.

Re: 100 Year Anniversary of the Park to Park Highway Tour
The Park to Park route of 1920 began and ended in Colorado.
Rocky Mountain National Park
Yellowstone National Park
Glacier National Park
Mount Rainier National Park
Crater Lake National Park
Lassen Volcanic National Park
Yosemite National Park
General Grant National Park
Sequoia National Park
Zion National Park
Grand Canyon National Park
Mesa Verde National Park
I would add Bryce Canyon, which became a national park in 1928, because it's spectacular and is convenient to the route.
I don't see any Fords here. We need to correct that.

Dean, that was a lot faster than the trip in 1920. I saw a video about the original trip and the roads were horrible and in some places non-existent. I’ll bet you had an amazing time. I would love to take that trip.

The Ocean to Ocean tour is this summer. Meet up with some of their planners and rhen set up a Park to Park tour in a few years. Gonna rough it with tents?

I don't bother with a tent if I'm staying just one night. I may use it if I'm there longer.
