Flu bug or not, there are many of us 'green with envy'!
Among the many visual details, that dual exhaust set-up is extraordinary!! Could you please tell us more about it?

Don't let the bug get the best of you, it might turn into the mess I am fighting.

The T is going to be better than before if that is even possible. I am not into speedsters but that would be fun to own and drive. I am going to make room in the barn now.

The dual exhaust does work well with the higher lift cam, high compression head, and higher volume intake manifold. Having the split does give them a unique tone firing on the 1 and 4 on one pipe, and 2 and 3 on the other. Will keep you folks informed with pics as I progress. Using header pipe (no kinks at bending) gives a clean progression and no restrictions. Just therapy! I volunteered myself in helping Dave Carnahan in California in fabricating a custom header for his speedster, Will keep you folks posted on it as well. He is an ex Air Force Brother so do the math.

Doug Keppler was able to get me some of those automatic Ford transmission magnets for putting on the top of the cover, Thanks Doug! A little experimenting appears this is the ticket for me. Sure do not want anyone to go through what happened to mine.

Hank, that mounting method for the mufflers is a stroke of genius. Very neat . How will you make the pipes before the mufflers removable if needed? The two parallel pipes heading downwards from the manifold reminded me of the way the the problem was treated on the east-west motors in the Mini Coopers of the 60's. The headers at the back of the motor were terminated where they were straight and the pipes to the rear were sleeved to go over those straight sections. That gave a flexible joint which was needed to allow the motor to rock front to back as power was applied. There were no clamps on this sliding joint. In your application, it would allow the system to be taken apart for easy removal.

I mention this because I once had to rebuild a Ruckstel in a 1927 roadster which had as many accessories on it as could be fitted. The exhaust system had been custom fabricated to go around all sorts of stuff, and the only way I could remove it was to cut it into three pieces, and then make two slip joints to be able to re-instal it.

By loosening the mufflers, you can slide them back about 2 1/2”, remove the four retaining
nuts and washers, Down she comes. I like making things user friendly for the oh no factor.

Just some more info, TSC offers a wide variety of generic tractor mufflers. But I do a google search and normally save another 30%.
