I'm back on the road.

Yesterday was week 7 since my right knee replacement. Being in recovery during the corona virus isolation was probably a good thing, as couldn't go anywhere anyway. Yesterday, I drove Henrietta 15 miles out to the farm to get some photos of our replacement grain truck, a Ford Louisville 900 of course.
Barry, my son's black labrador really likes riding in the back, nose in the air and ears flapping. We had a stiff headwind going out, but the old dear really appreciated the tailwind coming home. 4 miles is well formed unsealed road, and with no rain for months it is quite dusty. Coming towards us in his own dust storm was a B double semi, but as we neared, he slowed to a stop to allow us a dust free passage. How's that?
Perhaps we are all being a bit more tolerant and thoughtful during these times.

You definitely picked the right time for knee surgery. Glad you're doing better and back on the road. Stay healthy and safe.
Nice of the truck driver to slow up for you!

Welcome back from knee replacement. I’m on year 10 of both. I’ve never regretted having it done (ok, maybe since about week four or five).

Since this virus, I've been walking about 2 miles per day. I sure hope my knees survive it all!

Rob, I have 20 and 12 year old hips too. Favouring the crook knee led to pain in the hip, so it had to be done. Fortunately, I got in before the corona virus led to the shutdown of all elective surgery. Watching me get in and out of Hentietta must look comical, but it can be done!!!!

Keith, a side effect of the surgery is a numb area on one side of the scar, and a super touchy area on the other. I cant stand wearing my bibs, as they rub on the area and cause a real irritation. I guess that will mean they last longer.

Hi Allan, That sounds like a real bummer as we know how much you like to wear your bibs. Any chance you could cut off a pair just above the knees and wear them like we wear shorts in warm weather? Just a thought.....

Keith, next you'll be telling me to cut the top off Henrietta so she's easier to enter. No way.

Hi Allan, That was just a possibility as some of us like to wear shorts as much as possible.....

Anyway we hope you're back to 100% soon.
