HI. Is the wire wheel color that looks like light yellow called straw? if so is there a power coating color code. I need to redo mine and am wanting to provide the correct paint/power coat code. Thanks.

I have nothing on powder coating, but here are the paints.

My wheels were powder coated by Allied Powder Coating in Houston, using a color called 'straw'. Most of the Model A and T people with wire wheels, use them.

Several years ago I asked the question to the PPG archives. Their recommendation was Ditzler code 82172. For Deltron single stage paint this would translate to DCC 82172. This color was used on 1974 to 1978 Toyotas with Toyota paint code T528.

Thanks guys, And I did mean to say powder coating. That happens when the brain sees one thing and the fingers see something else. Either way, now to find someone here in central Indiana to do it.
