Pistons

Hello guys,
I will soon have to replace my connecting rods because i'm out of shims. Doing so, should i replace my cast iron pistons with aluminum ones?
I know the question was debated again and again, but i'm reluctant to aluminum considering all the problems of piston slap, seizing and so. Iron pistons have a bottom oil ring making piston slap almost impossible, but are heavier. On my car they are quite a lot oversize. If i go to aluminum, should i rebore my block?
Any opinions are welcome.

Bonjour Pierre Ives,

I like the cast iron pistons.
If it was mine and the cilinders are not bad, I should go just for a set new rings and keep the iron pistons.

Just my opinion.

Ok thanks,
Merci André, i will stick to cast iron, but replacing the rings might be difficult, because it seems i have a set of aftermarket pistons as my piston rings are very different to stock ford rings.
