There was a old fellow rode around here years ago picking up junk to sell. He told me of having tires similar to this and he would deflate them, and put a tire over the 1 mounted to the wheel and pump the tire back up and continue to ride.
Bumpy,but riding not walking.

I was heading north last year, with my T on the trailer, and the trailer tire did the same thing. I had around 50 miles to go to the next town. I made it too! What a relief. Got new tires for the trailer, and made it to the tour destination.

Well, you can put the sidewall from another tire in there...shoe sole...or you can wrap your belt around it....or find a shade tree and take it easy...

Put a boot in it. There's plenty of good tread left.
Goodyear made Diamond treads like that. Is that one or something else?

Coker Tire has 4.00x12 scooter tires to fit your Harley Topper.
They are the same tread as the tire shown in your photo. Do not try to repair that tire and drive on it. I have seen guys use N.O.S. Cushman tires on their scooters (before repos were available) resulting in a blowouts which caused one Cushman owner to get a broken wrist and a bent, near perfect, original scooter.
Coker tires aren't cheap, but compared to fixing a broken wrist, or worse, the cost is well worth it. Just my 2 centavos.

No worries, I was referring to fixing the picture on the side, not the tube looking for daylight.Just thought it was a fun look, brought back memories from my crazy youth.

Had a tire come apart on the interstate on my trailer, tore the fender up,lost my tag, Made it 20 miles further home on just the inside of the tire!. I took my time. Funny thing,I took country roads home and didn't go much over 35. kept a eye on it and headed towards a freinds place I could leave the trailer if need be. Made it home. Went flat 10 minutes after I stopped. I guess the heat from the road kept the air expanded?
I straightened the fender and you can't even tell it was bent. Cost 25 bucks to get another tag. :x

When I was in high school, I had an old bicycle that used high pressure tires. The front tire started developing a split right in the middle of the tread. I dropped the pressure about ten pounds, and kept riding on it for another week or so. Since it was on the front, I kept an eye on it, and watched for even tiny rocks on the road. I had a weekly newspaper route, and was delivering the things, watching carefully as I rode, but there was a place on the sidewalk where local kids kicked around the tiny sharp gravel. And one of those little sharp pieces of gravel hit the exposed tube bubble just right. The bang was so loud, a couple neighbors looked out their front doors to see what had happened! The tire, and the tube, were split about six inches.
