Yesterday someone posted about a treatment to salvage rotted wood. Can't find the post today, who was it and what post. Need to salvage a roadster door.

In my experience, Abatron's LiquidWood and WoodEpox work way better than the Minwax product. Admittedly, I've been using them on my 1921 house which doesn't go anywhere near as fast as a Model T.

I have feeling this the one you've been looking for. If not it is very interesting
"CHEMOTHERAPY FOR ROT Once rot gets a toehold in wood it is difficult to cure completely -- it is like a cancer. Digging out the rotted wood
will still leave spores and water in the sound wood. After you fill in thecavity with something like epoxy, the rot continues to flourish underneath. ..."

I think in the past postings several folks wrote about using some type of epoxy that you would mix and apply and it was stronger then the wood itself. When they applied it they could sand it, drill it, paint it etc. Looked like good stuff .
I don't know how to add links but I went to Google and in the search bracket I typed "Model T forum Wood Epoxy" and it showed these posting:
January 24, 2009 - 25 posts
October 7, 2012 - 35 posts
December 8, 2012 23 posts
September 30, 2017 12 posts.
I hope this helps

I had some old or rotten wood in the trunk of my 24 Coupe and it was in an area where I could carefully saw it out. So instead of trying to treat the existing wood I replaced it by using some new pieces of ash and glued them in with furniture wood glue. And yes it’s a solid joint. For those of you who don’t like using glue in a T the glue is stronger than the wood and you can’t hardly tell it’s been used.

Being a former restorer of wooden boats I'm well versed in treating wood rot. With wooden members that are rotted but still in place I very successfully used a product called "GIT-ROT". It's a 2 part epoxy of thin viscosity which soaks into the wood and then hardens in 4-5 hours. The rotten wood is like a sponge so the thin motor oil like consistency absorbs deeply into the fibers and hardens to a compressive strength much greater than the original wood. I used to buy it from my local hardware store in 6, 12 and 32oz sizes.
