What year did E & J have a separate rivetted triangle on their Carbide Headlights chimney?

Other non-Ford cars used E&J lamps as well.

All I get when I google EMF is "Electromagnetic field" I've heard EMF before, but never knew what is stood for. Can you elaborate, please.

Give an old car guy a barn and he won't throw anything away.

Bob is correct it appears to be off a 1912 EMF Carbide headlight. Thanks everyone for helping me chase it down.

My late 12T has E+j 666 with the riveted triangle they are original to the car and the car is Canadian built. The other 12 that was here and is now in Ontario also has the riveted triangle lamps also an original car.

The triangle reads Edmunds & Jones Detroit 666 and you could buy the triangle from Gilbert metal product back in the early 1960's

I think Herb gets the credit for pointing us in the right direction, all I did was find the web site since I kind of knew what an EMF was and how to find it. They were built in South Bend Indiana so I had seen some EMF stuff before and almost bought a 1912 Flanders one time but the owner went to Florida for the winter before we made the deal and he died before getting back and the family sold the car to someone else. He also had 3 model T's and would not split them up so it would have been buy all 4 cars which I would have kept 2 of myself and sold the 2 I didn't want or have room for at the time. He just didn't want to dig them out till he got home which didn't happen.

Thanks Colin, boy E&J were certainly able to serve many, with a blank chimney and an added reviited piece, giving them a lot of deversity.

Our genius brass light restorer really likes E&J side and tail lights because they can be used on a multitude of different makes besides Ford.

Allan from down under.
