Kingston L4 Float setting

I have located a couple of articles and consulted the MTFCA Carburetor book and cannot determine the proper setting for the float. One says one inch, another says 15/16'. Neither specifically mentions how or where to measure (e.g., from the machined surface to the float top; from the surface of the body to the seam of the float. ) I don't know the proper dimension or where to measure from-to.
I would welcome any assistance, Thanks TQ,

Mine on page 11 shows 7/16 to top of float. All information I have see uses the machined area where the bowl sits.

Thank you Mark, I appreciate your reply. My Ford Carburetor book is (c)1988. P. 11 is absent any relevant information.
So, if I invert the body of the L4 and adjust the float measuring 180 degrees from the hinge; from the machined surface to the top of the installed float is 7/16 inches. Sorry to be so retentive, but I want to do this once.
Thanks again for the assist. TQ

It is convenient to use a 7/16" drill bit, if you have one. Also, make sure the float is level with the machined surface at that gap. If the float is angled in any way, the setting will be off.
