Does anyone know the trick to installing the deck lid on a 1927 Coupe.
I appreciate any help you can give me.
Thanks Joe (joeg48@hotmail.com)

Re: 1927 Deck Lid
I recall it being tricky.
Have you tried starting from inside the car with the shelf removed?

Re: 1927 Deck Lid
Not hard to do but a bit tricky to reach by yourself. Remove the seat back and bottom cushion and put yourself halfway into the trunk to reach from there, while a second person holds the deck lid from the back of the car. As a teenager I did it myself from inside the trunk, but I wouldn't do it like that today. Install the hinge to the body on one side prior to installing the deck lid and place the other hinge on the deck lid. Hold the deck lid on an angle pointing one corner in first to engage the pre installed hinge. Slide the other corner with hinge into place, align the deck lid, then fasten that hinge to the body.
