Have you had any problems with the fitting of the windshield wiper using this bracket?

Mark, the whole in the bracket is too big for the wiper section and is a sloppy fit. I'm thinking that maybe some bushings can be made from some brass nesting tubing to cut down on the sloppiness so once installed the wiper would have minimal sloppiness and pressure on the top windshield glass

Sounds like what a friend did, also add some brass washers or larger tubing to act like a spacer on the handle side to pull it away from the bracket to keep pressure on the blade. With so many different sized shaft on old and new, some times you have to work with what you have on hand.
