Information Wanted on Van Briggle Shocks

Does anyone have these Van Briggle shocks on their Model T? Do you have to rotate or swap the spring perches as you do with Hassler shocks.

They appear to be in good condition. I have searched and have found little information about them other than the two ads. The second picture shows the front shocks that looks like the picture in the ads. The third picture shows the rear shocks in the open and the "as mounted" position. Part of an old shackle is holding it in position. It appears to have a Patent Date of 12-2-18.

Any information will be appreciated.
Thanks

That set of shocks do look like good condition and should work out well. Haven't used these, but have Hassler's and the Hassler have brackets that need the front perch repositioned, same with rear, the wheels have to come off to mount the rear hanger.

This adv. from Van Briggle states no need to change anything. As they just fit into the exiting shackles, that makes sense! Good Luck!

Thanks for the Ad.
Someone told me that Van Briggle made two different styles of shocks and that I have one style for the front and the other style for the rear. I have not been able to confirm this. I may try to install them and see what happens.
Thanks again.

VanBriggle.jpg[/attachment]Yes Van Briggle produced front and rear shocks. there is a Vintage Van Briggle Shock Absorber Brochure on ebay with some pictures. I also saw literature in the Lang's or Snyder's catalog. I need a right rear one.

If it bounces too much it might cause the car to tip over! They look much like Hasslers.

I have a pair of NOS Van Briggles like the ones in the pic. Don't know whether they're front or rear. Took them to Chickasha and didn't get any takers. $200 + shipping.
